Work experience

Employment rates for young people with a disability are considerably lower than for those who are not disabled and a successful work experience or volunteering placement can be a significant stepping stone on the path toward paid employment.  Learn to Live 19-25 work closely with local businesses who are able to offer some of our young people valuable and regular work experience opportunities that are tailored to the interests of the individual.

In addition, the young people of Learn to Live 19-25 take part in regular enterprise sessions were they produce some really fabulous art, craft and woodwork pieces that they are then able to sell. The profits from these enterprise initiatives enable our young people to fund various enrichment activities.
